On Oct. 4, Arizona Grantmakers Forum will welcome Lilly Gonzalez (she/her/hers/they/theirs) as communications and operations manager. She will oversee communications and marketing and drive member engagement through logistical, program and internal operational support.
Reporting to President and CEO Laurie Liles, Lilly will develop and implement Arizona Grantmakers' communications plan, serve as a key contact for all current and prospective members and support our committees and affinity groups.
“We’re delighted to have Lilly join our team and play an essential role in executing Arizona Grantmakers’ new business model to drive member value,” Liles said.
A seasoned nonprofit professional, Lilly focuses on empowering community members. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. She advanced the mission of the Phoenix Chorale as its patron service and communication manager for five years. Most recently, Lilly worked as a freelancing social media manager and consultant for True Colors International global training company and The Garden of Voices Theatre Podcast based in New York.
Lilly's volunteer experience spurred her passion for advocacy and helping others. Her engagement with America Reads, Local First, Rainbow Fest, Phoenix Pride and Rock the Vote continues to foster community connections. Lilly serves on the Phoenix Chorale's Access, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and will soon join the Phoenix Center for the Arts' Governance and Development Committees. She enjoys outdoor adventures and lives in downtown Phoenix with her husband, an old boxer puppy and a fat cat.
Lilly is excited to join the Arizona Grantmakers team and looks forward to developing community connections and empowering Arizona philanthropy.
